The next Smash Brothers Melee tournament could happen in a matter of weeks if the hype continues to build.
While the last two events have been held in Japan and Korea, it looks like this tournament will be held in the US.
A number of top players have been invited, including PewPewU, Hungrybox, Kels, Mew2King, and Javi.
This makes sense as the US has traditionally had the biggest presence in Melee.
The only other major event in the U.S. this year, The Big House 6, was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In an interview with Nintendo Life, The Smash Bros Melee Tournament Organizer, Jason D’Amore, said that the US will get to host a tournament this year.
He added that they’ve talked to a number of other venues and states, and are looking at a lot of options.
If the tournament is held in a venue like Vegas, it’s likely that there will be a ton of people there.
This would mean more potential fans for the event and less for the local Smash Bros scene.
This could be an advantage for the venue as it could bring more attention to the tournament.
This isn’t the first time the US’s Smash scene has gotten a major boost this year thanks to the Super Smash Bros 4 tournament.
Last month, The Melee Tournament organizer told us that there were already about 200 people registered to attend the tournament, and that there would be an additional 50 attendees.
It’s likely the Smash Bros tournament will have an even larger turnout than this, as the organizers will likely have more staff members.
There are some big players who are not coming to the US this year as the tournaments have already been postponed.
Hungrybox and Mew2king are set to headline the tournament in San Francisco, but there is a possibility they won’t be in attendance.
This means that they could miss out on the big prize money and could miss their chance to earn a spot at the event.
If they’re not there, they will have to rely on a local tourney for the prize money.
The tournament is still scheduled for March 2, which means it could be held a few weeks later.
There is also the possibility that Hungrybox could be on the road to Europe or Asia.
There is no official word on when we can expect the US to host the tournament either.
It is still early in the process, but the organizers are hoping to have the event in a few days.
Hopefully we’ll get our first official look at the tournament soon.
